Spirit Guides

What are Spirit Guides?
A Spirit Guide is an entity that remains as a discarnate spirit to act as a guide or protector to a living incarnated individual.  They are a nonphysical being assigned to help a soul attain its greatest potential on Earth.  In a way they care for us like guardian angels and assist us in many processes and transformations as we navigate life.  They take a variety of forms, including guardian angels, animal or nature spirits, elves and fairies, saints or ascended masters, and ancestors or descendants who have crossed over to the spiritual realm.  We always have a relationship with these beings, but it’s up to us to decide whether we want to have a dialogue with them and let their presence be known.  When you want to receive their guidance, all you have to do is be willing to surrender your fear and see with spiritual sight.  When we become willing to see a world beyond our physical sight, then life becomes easier, we feel safer and we can access our true power.  The more you ask, the more you receive.  Some people have one spirit guide, some have multiples that come and go, others have multiple working together.  Spirit guides are as unique in experience as each person is.  They come to people in many ways, but most commonly during types of meditation, when the brain can truly focus beyond the physical.
Who are my Spirit Guides?
Once I opened myself up to receiving and really followed all the signs I was being given, Hecate was clear to me.  And once I "opened that door" it was as if it made it easier to hear the others, Lilith, and Loki.  No, not the Loki you see in Marvel movies, the Norse God.  So not only did I have one Spirit Guide waiting to help me achieve my power, but I had a trio!  Explaining how I opened myself to them, and knew each one would be a long, long story though...
Plus since then, I have done reiki healing where the healer actually felt Lilith's presence and saw Hecate protecting me, while Loki helped her to clear away some of my trauma and open my chakras in one of his many forms.  This shared vision/feeling with my reiki healer was truly incredible and so I was ecstatic to attend a sound healing by the same healer months later.  During this sound trip I had many visions which included my current trio of guides again, but also led me back to find Guan Yin, and finally Bast.  Turns out I have an army of guides to help me through this human experience!
